Our Warranty

Every blind we supply is built to last and backed by a manufacturer's warranty — and our core ranges are made by us, right here in Auckland.

What's covered, and for how long

All of our made-to-measure products are covered by a manufacturer's warranty against faults in materials and workmanship. The cover period depends on the product:

ProductWarrantyTypical make time
Roller blinds (blockout, sunscreen, dual)5 yearsless than 2 weeks
Cedar & venetian blinds (cedar, aluminium, faux wood, custom-painted, angled)5 yearsless than 2 weeks
Plantation shutters5 years8–10 weeks

Motorised blinds5 years*less than 2 weeks
Zebra (day-night) blinds3 yearsabout 2 weeks
Honeycomb (cellular) blinds3 yearsabout 2 weeks

Vertical blinds3 years†about 2 weeks

*Motors and electronic components carry the motor manufacturer's warranty, which we'll confirm at the time of quoting. †See the note on vertical blinds below. Make times are typical and confirmed on your quote.

† A note on vertical blinds

Vertical blinds carry a 3-year warranty against genuine product failure — faults in the fabric, the blades, the headrail, the carriers or the control mechanism under normal household use. If the product itself fails, we'll put it right.

Because of how verticals are built, this cover does not extend to accidental damage. Blades, chain links, bottom weights and link hooks are easily pulled off or snapped — by children and pets, by wind through an open window or door, or by blades being pushed aside by hand instead of drawn with the chain. That's damage rather than a manufacturing fault, so it isn't a warranty claim.

The good news: it's almost always a quick, inexpensive fix. Replacement blades, chains and hooks are readily available, so get in touch and we'll sort it out for you.

What the warranty covers

  • Faults in the materials or workmanship of the blind under normal household use.
  • Failure of the operating mechanism (clutches, brackets and controls) supplied by us.
  • Free refabrication or repair of the faulty component at our discretion.

What's not covered

  • Accidental damage, misuse, or damage from incorrect installation by others.
  • Normal wear and tear, fabric fade from prolonged sun exposure, or damage from incorrect cleaning (see our care & cleaning guide).
  • Changes in fabric appearance that are natural characteristics of the material.
  • On vertical blinds: broken or detached blades, chain links, link hooks and bottom weights caused by children, pets, wind or handling — see the note above. These are repairs, not warranty claims, and we can usually fix them quickly and affordably.

How to make a claim

It's simple — contact us or call 0800 276 1200 with your order details and a photo of the issue. We'll assess it quickly and, if it's covered, repair or refabricate the part. Many issues can be sorted on-site across Auckland.
